How To Find Us

Getting Here

Ruislip Lido is on the outskirts of Northwest London and can be easily reached by car and by public transport. There are 2 pay-and-display car parks and the entrances and the bus-stop are next to the Waters Edge pub. The main car park is for both Hillingdon residents and out-of-borough visitors, but the Willow Lawn car park, added in 2014, is for Hillingdon residents only. Both car parks are free if you have a Hillingdon First card and the Willow Lawn car park requires one. Please check the notices for closing times and non-resident day parking charges which both vary throughout the year.

Public Transport

Ruislip Lido is served by the H13 and 331 bus routes.

The nearest Underground station is Ruislip which connects with both Metropolitan & Piccadilly line services from Central London and Uxbridge.

At Ruislip Station (bus stop B) take the H13 bus (towards Ruislip Lido) which runs frequently including Sundays and public holidays.

For further details and journey planning, go to the Transport for London website where there are also downloadable Underground maps and an interactive searchable bus map.

The Café is an easy walk round the lake. The shortest route is across the 'dam' at the right-hand end, past the Kiosk, but the path is circular - so if you fancy a longer walk to sharpen your appetite, you can also walk round 'the long way' to the Café! Alternatively; on operating days you can catch the Ruislip Lido Railway from the car park to Woody Bay station, where you will find the Café right next door.

Driving Directions

The Lido is easily reached from the A40/M40. From the A40, take the exit at 'Swakeleys Roundabout' onto Swakeleys Road / B467 in the direction of Ruislip.

At the first roundabout, take the second exit, continuing along Swakeleys Road. At the next roundabout, turn left onto Breakspear Road South.

After just under a mile, you will see a pub on the right. Turn right here into Breakspear Road. Follow the road for a further mile until you come to a mini roundabout by a filling station. Turn left here into Ducks Hill Road / A4180. After a short distance, take the first right into Reservoir Road.

Continue to the end of the road and you will arrive at the Lido Car Parks. Do not park in the section of the main car park reserved for Waters Edge customers only or you are likely to get a ticket.

Note: On warm and sunny weekends and public holidays, the car parks can fill rapidly. There is very little other parking available and parking restrictions in the nearby roads are vigorously enforced by Hillingdon Council, including the towing away of illegally parked vehicles. You may want to consider travelling by public transport instead.

Should you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having had your vehicle towed away, you can find out where it has been taken via the above link or on the London Councils TRACE system.
