 Parties at the Café for Children

Kids Parties

Following numerous requests from parents, especially those bringing their children for a birthday treat at the beach or Lido Railway, we are delighted to announce that we can now offer party packages at the Café.

Parties can be held either inside the Café (for up to 12 children) or outside on the decking area (for up to 40 children), with reserved seating for the children and supervising adults, plus a designated member of staff to help with your party needs.

Our standard party package includes one item from our Kids Menu (see menu page), a single cone with flake plus unlimited squash - all for only £6.50 per head. This is for either inside seating or use of up to 4 tables on the outside decking area. For larger groups, the outside decking area (8 tables in total) is available for exclusive hire at an additional £50/hr.

If you have any special requirements (e.g. food allergies), please let us know when booking.

You are welcome to come up to 30 minutes beforehand to decorate and dress your table(s) ready for the party.

Party Conditions

The following conditions apply to parties held at the Café:

  1. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 12 children inside the Café or 40 children on the outside decking area in a group.

  2. Depending upon numbers, a ratio of 1 responsible adult per 6 children, with a minimum of 2, must be present to supervise.

  3. We are unable to take reservations for adults, other than those supervising the group.

  4. Please let us have your written/emailed menu choices and confirmed numbers a minimum of 48 hours beforehand.

  5. Apart from occasional items such as birthday cake, we have a strict policy of only permitting food and drink purchased at the Café to be consumed on the premises and outside seating area.

  6. You are welcome to come to the Café up to 30min before the booked time to decorate and dress your table(s). We regret that fountain candles and party-poppers are not permitted for safety and litter reasons.

  7. We are unable to reserve inside seating at the Café at weekends or public holidays as these are busy periods. Although you could take a chance on the day, we cannot guarantee that there would be sufficient available seats or that your group could all sit together.

  8. Pre-ordered hot food will be cooked to be ready for your booked arrival time. We regret that food which has spoiled due to late arrival of your group cannot be replaced without an additional charge.

  9. A 50% deposit is required, plus a minimum of 1hr decking hire where applicable, to secure a party reservation and this is payable at the time of booking acceptance. Refunds can only be given where we receive notice of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance or if outside seating has been reserved and it is raining on the day, with no alternative inside seating being available.

  10. Payment of the full balance is required on the day. Accepted payment methods are cash or debit/credit card. We regret we are unable to accept cheques.

  11. Any damage or breakages will be charged at cost.

  12. You will be responsible for the orderly behaviour of the group and that other customers and users of the park are not inconvenienced or disturbed. The management reserves the right to ask groups who are disruptive and/or poorly behaved to leave. In this event, no refund can be given.
